Emma 03:01
We had a silly pillow fight and a feather landed on my nose through my eyes you looked like an angel I thought I might have croaked And I tell you that this could be heaven with the room such a cluttered mess your shoulders release their tension as we collapse into the bed Oh Emma I had to leave a few days later make my way down to washington state I wanted to see the nation but at the boarder I was turned away And I tell you that this could be heaven turned away from the land of the free it feels like it could be important but I have no time for irony Oh Emma I thought I wanted somebody I thought I wanted some company but what I needed was solidarity oh Emma, what I needed was me We had a silly pillow fight and a feather landed on my nose through my eyes you looked like an angel I thought I might have croaked

Runaway Lane 04:33
I have some friends who like to drive their cars round every bed of the autobahn They drive so fast I just can't keep up zoom away from the past no reason to stop I used to drive down the loneliest roads rarely a surprise but they'd take me exactly where I'd want to go Oooh Every roadside diner would know my name 'till I met you I was fine with every day being the same But that had to change 'Cause you are my runaway lane You are my runaway lane My breaks don't work but that's okay, 'cause you are my runaway lane I had some maps to show me where I should be but they were crap and took away all spontaneity I left them behind with my jerry can if I run out of gas then I'll be left exactly where I stand. 'Cause you are my runaway lane You are my runaway lane My breaks don't work but that's okay, 'cause you are my runaway lane

Hey Lewis 04:22
Hey Lewis the night won't get any lighter why don't you pull this car on over and rest your tired eyes for a while Hey Lewis I know you wanna keep on driving down this road 'till it stops winding and rest in Winnipeg for a while But even birds give up that flight when the day turns into night they rest their tired wings for the wind <chorus> You know I've heard there's geese in the next town and they stay there all year round, oh, they're the kind of birds who never leave. But we're not like the geese of Wawa we've gotta go somewhere maybe south, oh, we've gotta keep on moving just to see where we've been. Hey Lewis the moon's climbing over the tree line it's hanging up in the sky and shining down on the lake So tell me is she waiting for you at home if you don't know then pick up the damn phone and figure out what it's gunna take <chorus> You know I've heard there's geese in the next town and they stay there all year round, oh, they're the kind of birds who never leave. But we're not like the geese of Wawa we've gotta go somewhere maybe south, oh, we've gotta keep on moving just to see where we've been. I've got a beating in my heart and someday it's gunna stop but 'till then I'm gunna take a look around I'm sick and tired of feeling tired I've had my fill of uninspired people, who just won't look around

about

Songs From Grand Marquee is about a fellow who looks, thinks, and lives his life very much like myself. He falls asleep on the back of the no.8 bus, while heading to school reluctantly, and his dreams and memories start to blend into each other. The rest of the songs of the ep are these memories of wondering, travel, false & foolish love and friendship; on the cusp between reality and imagination.

It was released on April 29th, 2008.
